Rubix Peptides is a trading name of Hudson Global Trading Ltd, company number 16500486. Our registered office is 1, Hawkridge Court, Cherbury Close, Bracknell, United Kingdom, RG12 9JQ. Hudson Global Trading Ltd is the controller of personal information collected through rubixpeptides.com and our customer communications. This notice explains how we handle information about website visitors, customers and people who contact us.

Information we collect
- Contact and account information: your name, organisation, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, account details and preferences.
- Orders and transactions: products and variations selected, quantities, prices, order history, payment status, transaction references, delivery information, returns and refunds. Payment information required by a payment service is handled according to that service’s arrangements; do not send card numbers, security codes or online banking credentials to us by email or WhatsApp.
- Communications: enquiries, complaints, feedback and supporting material you choose to send, such as photographs of a damaged parcel or product label.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, pages requested, access times, errors and security records generated when you use the website. Cookies and similar storage may hold basket, session and preference information.
- Research-order information: details reasonably required to assess an order’s suitability for lawful laboratory research, such as an organisation’s name or the research purpose stated by the customer.
We obtain information from you, from your use of the website, and from service providers involved in an order, such as payment-status and delivery updates. Someone placing an order for an organisation or another recipient may give us that person’s business contact and delivery details. Only provide information you are authorised to share.
Why we use it and our legal basis
- Contract: to respond to a request to purchase, manage an account, process and fulfil orders, communicate about delivery, and administer contractual returns and refunds.
- Legal obligation: to maintain required accounting records, meet applicable legal requirements and respond to valid requests from courts or authorities.
- Legitimate interests: to answer general enquiries, administer business customer relationships, investigate complaints, protect the store against fraud and misuse, maintain website reliability, establish or defend legal claims and assess whether orders fit our research-only supply terms. We consider the effect on individuals and do not rely on this basis where their interests or rights override ours.
- Consent: for optional marketing or non-essential tracking where consent is required. Consent can be withdrawn without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Order confirmations, delivery messages and replies to your enquiry are service communications. They are separate from promotional messages. You can ask us to stop direct marketing at any time using an unsubscribe option provided with a message or by emailing us. We retain the minimum information necessary to respect an opt-out.
Information needed to accept, pay for or deliver an order must be provided for us to perform that transaction. Optional information is not a condition of purchasing. We do not use this notice as permission to collect medical records or provide healthcare: please do not send medical histories, prescriptions or other sensitive health information.
Who can receive information
Information is shared only as necessary with people and organisations supporting the relevant purpose: authorised staff; website hosting, maintenance, security and communications providers; payment services and banks; delivery companies; and professional advisers. Our storefront uses WordPress and WooCommerce. Installing or using that software does not by itself mean every software supplier receives every customer record.
Couriers receive the details needed to deliver your order. Payment providers receive the details needed to handle the payment method you select and may also act as controllers for their own legal and fraud-prevention purposes. If you choose WhatsApp, that service also handles information under its own privacy terms.
We may disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights, or in connection with a genuine business transfer, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection safeguards. We do not offer customer personal information for sale.
International handling
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where a transfer is restricted under UK data-protection law, it must be covered by an applicable adequacy arrangement, approved contractual safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism. Contact us for details of safeguards relevant to your information.
Cookies and website storage
The store uses cookies or similar storage to support functions such as keeping items in a basket, maintaining a login session and protecting the website. These functions can be impaired if you block or delete the relevant storage in your browser.
Non-essential advertising or analytics tracking requires a separate lawful basis and, where required, your prior consent. Merely visiting the site or reading this notice is not consent. You can manage stored cookies through your browser’s privacy settings and contact us about website tracking. This notice does not claim that a browser setting replaces any consent control required by law.
Retention and security
We keep information for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected. The period depends on whether an account or order remains active, applicable accounting and tax obligations, the time allowed for legal claims, and whether a complaint, fraud investigation or dispute is unresolved. Enquiry records are retained only while needed to respond and deal with related follow-up or claims. When no continuing purpose or legal requirement applies, information is deleted or anonymised.
Access is limited to those who need information for their work. Appropriate organisational and technical safeguards are required of the services we use. No internet service is entirely risk-free; keep account credentials private and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
Your rights and complaints
Subject to the conditions and exemptions in data-protection law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy of information. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and have an absolute right to object to direct marketing. You may withdraw consent at any time. If a decision with legal or similarly significant effects is made solely by automated processing, you may have additional rights, including to seek human involvement and challenge it.
Email rubixpeptides@tuta.com with enough information to identify your request. We may ask for proportionate identity checks before releasing or changing records. Requests are normally handled free of charge within one month; any lawful extension, clarification or exemption will be explained.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. You do not have to complain to us first, although we welcome the opportunity to resolve concerns.
Children and changes to this notice
Our store is intended for adults aged 18 or over and laboratory research customers. If a child has supplied personal information, contact us so that we can assess and address it. We update this notice when our processing changes and will provide further notice where the law requires it. The date above identifies the current version.
